Last week the RTEA, in partnership with First Baptist Church of Branch, Arkansas and Victory Baptist Church in Backgate, Arkansas along with many other volunteers, stormed the city of Memphis with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When our Lord said to his disciples, “..the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few,” I imagine the kinds of communities that we go into. There is no shortage of those who desperately need Jesus and we were able to see a great many of them profess faith in Christ. Over four days God let us lead 454 people to confess Jesus as Lord!
In West Memphis we encountered some men yelling across a parking lot about killing white people. Some of our team got nervous but God gave Bro. Ronnie the grace to approach these men and show them the love of Christ. None of them got saved but their attitudes changed from hostile to friendly and we were able to preach without incident. God is good!
We were only able to go out four days instead of five because Thursday one of the young men from Arkansas got news from home that he lost his brother. As much as we wanted to continue the work we had planned for Friday, their team needed to return home and we were left unable to adequately work the large apartment complex we had scheduled to minister in. Fortunately, the management was kind enough to allow us to reschedule for later date when we can have more soul-winners there to share the Gospel. God is still good and we are excited about what He will do there! We will have more details coming later if you would like to help.
